1 - Who we are
Section titled “1 - Who we are”Elecplanner (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a web application available at elecplanner.com that helps users design and simulate electrical installations in a virtual environment. Elecplanner is currently operated by an individual developer who is a resident of France. There is no registered company yet. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal data, you can contact: contact@elecplanner.com.
2 - Scope
Section titled “2 - Scope”This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you use Elecplanner. It applies to all visitors and users of the site and app.
3 - Data we collect
Section titled “3 - Data we collect”-
Usage data and technical data:
- Device, browser type/version, OS, language, referring/exit pages, time stamps, approximate location (based on IP), and interactions with the site (pages viewed, clicks, events).
- Collected via cookies or similar technologies, including Google Analytics.

Contact and support data (if you contact us):
- Name, email, message content, and metadata. Managed via HubSpot forms or similar tools.

App data:
- At this time, Elecplanner works without user accounts. Designs/circuits may be stored locally (e.g., localStorage) or temporarily on our servers for functionality and performance. Where feasible, this storage does not directly identify you.

Cookies and similar technologies:
- Functional cookies for core app features (e.g., remembering your design state).
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) for usage insights.
- Marketing/CRM cookies (HubSpot) for contact forms and communications, if any.

Legal bases for processing (GDPR):
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for security, performance, analytics, and improving the service.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for non-essential cookies/trackers (e.g., analytics/marketing) where required.
- Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) when processing is needed to provide the service you request (e.g., functional storage of designs).
- Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) if we must comply with law.
4 - How we use data
Section titled “4 - How we use data”- To operate and improve the app (performance, stability, features):
- To understand usage (analytics and aggregated statistics).
- To respond to your inquiries and support requests.
- To protect against abuse and ensure security.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5 - Sharing of data
Section titled “5 - Sharing of data”- Service providers (processors), only as needed to provide the service:
- Google Analytics (analytics)
- HubSpot (forms, contact management, CRM)
- Legal and compliance:
- If required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business changes:
- If Elecplanner is transferred or incorporated into a company, personal data may be transferred in accordance with data protection laws and you will be informed as required.
6 - International transfers
Section titled “6 - International transfers”Some providers (e.g., Google, HubSpot) may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Details are available in those providers’ privacy documentation.
7 - Data retention
Section titled “7 - Data retention”- Usage/analytics data: retained for the minimum period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined, then aggregated or deleted according to provider settings.
- Contact/support data: retained as long as necessary to handle your request, and for a reasonable period thereafter.
- App design data: stored locally in your browser or temporarily on our servers to enable functionality; retention depends on technical needs and your device/browser settings. Clearing your browser storage may delete locally stored designs.
8 - Your rights (EU/EEA)
Section titled “8 - Your rights (EU/EEA)”Subject to conditions and limits under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase data (right to be forgotten)
- Restrict processing
- Object to processing (including profiling based on legitimate interests)
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time (for consent-based processing)
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France: CNIL)

9 - Cookies and consent
Section titled “9 - Cookies and consent”When required, we will present a cookie banner to obtain consent for non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics/marketing). You can manage your preferences via the banner or your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
10 - Security
Section titled “10 - Security”We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11 - Children’s privacy
Section titled “11 - Children’s privacy”Elecplanner is not directed to children under 16. If you believe we have collected personal data from a child under 16, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12 - Changes to this Policy
Section titled “12 - Changes to this Policy”We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post changes here with an updated “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice.
